    Student Support Worker (Care)

Beaumont College, South Lakes (Barrow in Furness) is a very special place and we are seeking to extend our work-family in response to increased demand for places at the college. If you have as passion to support some of the most vulnerable special school leavers to fulfil their potential, through support for the planned, high quality delivery of learning, this role is for you.

We are seeking to appoint a Student Support Worker with a passion to support special school leavers in their journey to prepare for adulthood.  Ideally having experience of supporting learners to learn in particular experience with students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) you will be creative, inclusive and look forward to working with our students who love to learn and are motivated to attend, enjoy and achieve!

Your will work with a wider team including teachers, tutors and learning support colleagues. We offer small class sizes and high levels of support to our learners and as a result they make the progress they are capable of. Our pathways are highly personalised and alongside Preparing for Adult Hood, learners will each have a bespoke package of health and support interventions including physio and hydro therapy, speech and language therapy and occupational therapy, access to a skilled and experienced team of assistive technologist, and positive behaviour practitioners.

Vocational themes of learning support students to make progress, both educationally and in self-advocacy, confidence, self-belief and resilience in preparation for life beyond college in busy and fulfilling destinations.
